Biden Admin. Denies Ohio Disaster Aid Request

After Ohio Republican Governor Mike DeWine requested federal assistance for disaster relief, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) said, “Ohio is not eligible for assistance at this time,” according to a statement from the governor’s office. A spokeswoman for DeWine stated, “FEMA believed the incident didn’t qualify as a traditional disaster, such as a tornado or hurricane, for which it usually provides assistance.”
