Arson Suspected in Massachusetts Tesla Charging Station Fires

Early Monday morning, a fire damaged seven Tesla Supercharger stations in Littleton, Massachusetts. Authorities believe the blaze was intentionally set.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. at The Point Shopping Center on Constitution Avenue. Responding officers found multiple charging stations engulfed in flames and heavy smoke. The Littleton Electric Light & Water Department cut power to the devices, allowing firefighters to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported.

A Massachusetts Dept. of Fire Services press release stated: “Based on evidence at the scene, Littleton Fire, Littleton Police, and State Police fire investigators collectively determined that the fire had been intentionally set.”

The Littleton Fire and Police Departments, along with the Massachusetts State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit, are investigating the incident. The Arson Watch Reward Program is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

This event adds to a series of recent anti-Tesla actions. In Colorado, a woman was arrested for vandalizing a Tesla dealership, including throwing Molotov cocktails at vehicles. Additionally, nine individuals were arrested during a protest at a Tesla showroom in Manhattan.

Authorities suspect the fire, along with other recent anti-Tesla incidents, may be part of a broader protest against Elon Musk and his role in the Department of Government Efficiency.
