Arnold Schwarzenegger criticized both Democrats and Republicans for allowing the nation’s immigration system to collapse, leading to widespread ICE raids. Speaking during the launch of his Netflix show Fubar, the former California governor blamed political inaction for forcing federal authorities into aggressive enforcement.
Schwarzenegger said the failure to implement serious immigration reform has left the U.S. vulnerable, stating, “We don’t even know who is in here.” He accused lawmakers of being “party hacks” rather than public servants, more concerned with political optics than resolving national security issues.
ICE operations have surged in major cities under federal orders, targeting criminal aliens and immigration law violators. Schwarzenegger suggested these raids reflect systemic breakdown, not just policy enforcement.
He called on Congress to deliver legislation that secures the border, regulates legal entry, and restores public confidence. The remarks come as bipartisan immigration talks remain stalled, with both sides deflecting blame.
While other celebrities advocate for softer immigration measures, Schwarzenegger’s critique focused on accountability and legislative failure. He warned that without action, immigration enforcement would grow more chaotic and less humane.
