Antifa Member Ran Over Winnipeg Freedom Convoy Protester

Freedom Convoy members injured in apparent intentional attack where one man was rammed into, partially run over by an anti-protester in Winnipeg.

QUICK FACTS:
  • Three were injured in what appeared to be an intentional attack on Winnipeg “Freedom Convoy” members, according to eyewitnesses cited by The Gateway Pundit.
  • Leftists reportedly launched violence against peaceful vaccine mandate protesters who were part of the Ottawa-based “Freedom Convoy.”
  • The driver of the vehicle was reportedly masked at the time, and was not able to be identified, but was since discovered to be Antifa activist David Zegrac.
  • Zegarac was arrested and taken into custody a few hours after the alleged attack.
MORE ON THE ALLEGED ATTACKER:
  • Zegarac was identified as an Antifa activist by Rebel News who reported that the driver was a 43-year-old musician from Winnipeg.
  • The publication also reported that the activist and alleged attacker was an Indigenous, Serbian and Irish and is the frontman of Canadian punk bands The Brat Attack, Dead Peasants Revolt, The Black Mass Brigade, and Class War Kids.
  • An additional report stated that Zegarac was charged with 11 offenses, including four charges with assault with a weapon, two counts of dangerous operation of a conveyance cause bodily harm, and two counts of failure to stop at the scene of an accident.
BACKGROUND:
  • The individuals allegedly struck by Zegarac were part of the Winnipeg chapter of the “Freedom Convoy,” which is the nationwide protest of vaccine mandates.
  • The Globe and Mail and Canadian Press reported that the men were treated at the scene for minor injuries with one being taken to the hospital before being released later.
  • The publication also reported that the trucker protest has grown to the point that smaller trucks and tractors have joined the protest and blocked off the area in front of the Manitoba Legislative Building.
