Almost 400 CDC Employees Have Not Received COVID Vax

In addition to the 382 who were unvaccinated, several more had only received one dose of Pfizer or Moderna.

QUICK FACTS:
  • A recent report indicates that almost 400 employees at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have not received a COVID-19 vaccine, according to information received by The Epoch Times.
  • Roger Andoh, a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) officer at the agency, said that nine employees had received only one dose of Pfizer or Moderna and 382 employees were completely unvaccinated.
  • Altogether, it accounts for just over three percent of the CDC’s workforce that is not up to date on their coronavirus vaccines, according to employee data.
  • Andoh refused to answer questions about more recent data from the CDC, and pointed to a December press release that continued information about current government employee vaccination rates.
HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES’ REPORT ON VACCINATED EMPLOYEES:
  • “Some of our largest Divisions now have vaccination rates that exceed the Department’s vaccination rate of more than 97 percent. So, no matter how you slice and dice the data at HHS, nearly every member of our workforce has answered the President’s call, and I couldn’t be prouder,” HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra said about the department’s vaccinations.
  • “This data, and the data released last week by OMB, prove that federal vaccine requirements work. Because tens of thousands of HHS employees followed the science, they are safer today and so are their families, workplaces, and communities.”
BACKGROUND:
  • The CDC has been persistently advising the American people that getting vaccinated is the best way to stay safe from the coronavirus, despite questions about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccines.
  • The agency has granted zero requests for an exemption to Joe Biden’s federal worker vaccine mandate, which will take effect on May 31.
