Actress Kim Delaney was arrested over the weekend on felony assault charges in Marina del Rey, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Authorities responded to a domestic disturbance call at Delaney’s home around 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, where an investigation led to her arrest for assault with a deadly weapon.
Her partner, James Morgan, was also arrested for battery. Jail records confirm that Delaney, known for her role in NYPD Blue, was booked at the Marina del Rey Sheriff’s Station at 10:15 a.m. and charged with assault likely to produce gross bodily injury. She remains in custody with no bail set, while Morgan was released on a $20,000 bond the same day.
According to TMZ, the couple’s arrest followed a “heated argument that turned physical.” Just two weeks prior, Delaney had posted a picture of herself with Morgan on social media, captioned “Pure love.” The couple had celebrated their second wedding anniversary in October.
Delaney, whose career spans decades, is best known for her role on NYPD Blue from 1995 to 2003 and has also appeared in The O.C., Army Wives, All My Children, and Chicago Fire.
Last month, Michael Lohan, father of actress Lindsay Lohan, was arrested in Texas on February 21, 2025, on a felony assault charge related to an alleged domestic incident involving his estranged wife, Kate Major Lohan. Authorities charged Lohan with “continuous violence against the family” after Major reported an altercation that left her injured. This latest arrest adds to a history of legal troubles and domestic disputes between the couple.
