President Trump told the United Nations General Assembly that artificial intelligence may be renamed “super intelligence” across U.S. documents.
“The United States also totally rejects any attempt to construct a globality scheme to control for the artificial intelligence being spoken of so much now, hereinafter called super intelligence. Changing the name,” Trump told the leaders. “The use of the word artificial makes intelligence sound fake. It is not fake. It’s actually amazing. But we have to be careful. In fact, it is exactly the opposite of what it purports.”
“From this point forward, all of United States documents and hopefully the world’s will be changed to use the much more accurate term super as opposed to artificial,” Trump said. “In other words, welcome to the new world of super intelligence – S.I.,” he added. “Let’s see if that goes. It sounds much better. It is much better, and it’s much more accurate.”
Trump’s statement comes on the heels of his announcement that he plans to create an “AI Force” to expedite the growth of artificial intelligence.
The president wrote in a Truth Social post over the weekend that his administration aims to combat resistance to AI and data centers. “We will not in any way hinder or stifle the Growth of this incredible Industry. Rather, we will cherish it, help it, and watch over it, as it grows!” his post declared. “However, we will also be looking for BAD, and we can do that, very easily, with our already existing Criminal and Civil Justice System. For this purpose, I am forming the AI Force, much like I did Space Force, which has been a tremendous SUCCESS, in my First Term.”
