Babies Born During 250th Celebration to Receive Limited Edition Cards

The Social Security Administration (SSA) announced a once-in-a-generation and first-of-its-kind commemorative Social Security card for babies born in the United States between July 2 and December 31, 2026. The cards will feature the Freedom 250 logo.

The cards will be distributed through the Enumeration at Birth (EAB) program, where parents at hospitals, birthing centers, or those using licensed midwives can request a Social Security number.

“Freedom 250 is a celebration of America’s storied history and the monumental moments that have shaped our nation, including the creation of Social Security over 90 years ago,” said Commissioner Frank J. Bisignano. “The next generation of Americans born during this historic year will receive limited-edition Social Security cards bearing the Freedom 250 logo. Under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump, we are strengthening Social Security, improving service, and building an SSA to serve Americans today and in the future.”

Meanwhile, the State Department is releasing a commemorative passport for the nation’s 250th anniversary featuring an image of President Trump.

“As the United States celebrates America’s 250th anniversary in July, the State Department is preparing to release a limited number of specially designed US passports to commemorate this historic occasion,” State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott told Fox News. The new design will continue “maintaining the same security features that make the US Passport the most secure document in the world,” Pigott added.

Mock designs obtained by the outlet show a picture of Trump surrounded by the text of the Declaration of Independence. Another page shows the founding fathers during the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The passport will be issued at the Washington Passport Agency in Washington, D.C., beginning on July 6.
