Hateful rants tied to Sunday’s deadly mass shooting in Austin, TX, have intensified scrutiny of the suspect’s online activity. Authorities are investigating whether anti-Christian, antisemitic, and misogynistic posts made by Ndiaga Diagne signaled extremist motives before he opened fire at a crowded Austin bar. The attack left three people dead and 13 others wounded.
Diagne, a 53-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen born in Senegal, began shooting just before 2 a.m. Sunday. Investigators are probing a “potential nexus to terrorism” after he reportedly wore a “Property of Allah” sweatshirt and an undershirt displaying the Iranian flag. Officials also recovered a Quran from his vehicle.
An X account believed to belong to Diagne, operating under @NdiagaDiag88249, featured repeated inflammatory statements. In one August 2025 post, he wrote, “THE ISLAMIC REVOLUTION IS ETERNAL AND HERE TO STAY UNTIL THE END OF TIME, you Zionist and islamophobes can be angry all you want but you can’t do a [expletive] thing about it, no matter what.”
In a November post attacking Christianity, he stated, “So funny Islam is considered an enemy to America? Because Jesus who came out of a vagina can never be GOD, just read Mark 12:29, John 17:3, your lies, propaganda, insults and smear will not stop ISLAM, ISLAM is here to save you in this world and the hereafter.”
Other posts included direct attacks on Trump supporters, such as, “you and your Israel first acolytes fake Jews know it, so melt down all you want you ugly [expletive].” Authorities are also reviewing whether recent U.S. and Israeli military actions influenced the suspect. No official motive has been confirmed.
