Trump Banner Flies at DOJ Headquarters

A banner featuring an image of President Trump and the phrase, “Make America Safe Again,” flew from the Department of Justice headquarters in Washington, D.C.

When asked about the banner, a DOJ spokesperson told NBC News, “We are proud at this Department of Justice to celebrate 250 years of our great country and our historic work to make America safe again at President Trump’s direction.”

Last year, President Trump declared from the headquarters that “in recent years, a corrupt group of hacks and radicals within the ranks of the American government obliterated the trust and goodwill built up over generations. They weaponized the vast powers of our intelligence and law enforcement agencies to try and thwart the will of the American people.”

The DOJ under the Trump administration has exposed the agency’s weaponization under previous administrations. In November, Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed that former Special Counsel Jack Smith “seized President Trump’s government-issued phone.” She explained that Smith subpoenaed Trump’s personal phone records. “We can never again allow this kind of government weaponization in America,” Bondi wrote, adding that she submitted the files to Capitol Hill.

It has also been revealed that former Attorney General Merrick Garland and former FBI Director Christopher Wray were behind the approval of the Arctic Frost probe, which targeted conservatives through a weaponized Justice Department. FBI Director Kash Patel said the agency “handed over important documentation showing weaponization and politicization at the highest levels of government.”

The document, dated April 2022, is listed as a “sensitive investigation matter,” meaning that Garland’s signature was necessary for the Washington Field Office to open the probe. The document sought to investigate individuals engaged in a “conspiracy to obstruct Congress’s certification of the Electoral College on January 6, 2020, including through the submission of fraudulent certificates of electors’ votes to the United States Government.”
