Campaign Firm That Boosted Mamdani Now Targeting GOP House Seats in Pennsylvania

A Washington-based campaign firm that helped Zohran Mamdani secure the Democratic mayoral candidacy in New York City is now turning its focus to challenging vulnerable House Republican seats in Pennsylvania. The firm, Fight Agency, plans to support Democratic challengers to Rob Bresnahan and Ryan Mackenzie — key races in what is seen as a make-or-break midterm for GOP control in the House.

Fight Agency describes itself as a six-person team with experience in over 300 winning campaigns and has embraced policy themes such as affordability and housing that Mamdani made central. The firm is already aligned with Democratic challengers like Paige Cognetti (running against Bresnahan) and Bob Brooks (running against Mackenzie).

The timing is critical for the Republican majority in the House, currently holding just a three-seat margin. Pennsylvania has five Republican-held districts rated competitive, many expected to be contested within a five-point margin. While the left-leaning strategy may energize Democratic turnout in targeted districts, analysts caution it may not translate directly across all regions given local dynamics.

The GOP response has emphasized the outside influence of Washington-based firms attempting to reshape local elections through nationalized messaging and progressive policy experiments. Republican strategists argue that Pennsylvania voters will reject candidates backed by groups associated with far-left platforms that do not align with the values of their districts.

From a conservative perspective, the involvement of a firm explicitly linking progressive electoral themes (such as housing freezes and government-run services) to swing-district campaigns signals a concentrated effort to shift political control via strategic messaging rather than broadly resonant narratives. The outcome of races in Pennsylvania will offer early insight into whether this approach can meaningfully disrupt GOP-held seats in midterm cycles.
