Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that former Special Counsel Jack Smith took “unprecedented” action in his investigation into President Trump.
“During the Arctic Frost Investigation, we found that Special Counsel seized President Trump’s government-issued phone,” Bondi shared on social media. “This means the Biden Administration turned over President Trump’s phone to Special Counsel—an UNPRECEDENTED action.”
She explained that Smith subpoenaed Trump’s personal phone records. “We can never again allow this kind of government weaponization in America,” Bondi wrote, adding that she submitted the files to Capitol Hill.
The information is the latest to come out of the investigation into Arctic Frost. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) recently made public nearly 200 subpoenas issued by Smith and his team as part of their case against President Trump.
The 197 subpoenas, obtained by Grassley through whistleblower disclosures, were sent to 34 individuals and 163 businesses. The records also named at least 430 Republican individuals and entities.
“Arctic Frost was the vehicle by which partisan FBI agents and DOJ prosecutors could improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus,” Grassley said during a press conference. “Contrary to what Smith has said publicly, this was clearly a fishing expedition.”
President Trump has also called for those involved in Arctic Frost to be investigated. “Former FBI Agent Walter Giardina is a DIRTY COP! He should be, along with Deranged Jack Smith, the sinister team of Lisa Monaco and Andrew Weissmann, Liddle’ Jay Bratt, Norm Eisen and his FAKE Charity, CREW, Christopher Wray, Merrick Garland, Thomas Windom, who dreamt up the corrupt J-6 Witch Hunt, should be investigated, immediately,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “They are a disgrace to our Nation. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
