Exposed: Left-Wing Hypocrisy on Full Display Over Trump Peace Deal With Hamas

Democratic lawmakers and progressive activists spent two years demanding a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. But now that President Donald Trump has delivered one through the Trump peace deal, those same critics are attacking it—claiming, without evidence, that Israel will soon violate the agreement.

Disgraced former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan fumed on X, writing, “I love that we live in a world where we’re all supposed to now praise Trump for his peace-making and ignore the fact that at least 20,000 Palestinians have been killed on his watch.” Hasan went on to claim Israel will resume fighting once hostages are released, saying, “There’s literally nothing and no one to stop Netanyahu and Israel from resuming the war/genocide once they get all the hostages back.”

The Trump peace deal requires Hamas to disarm and release all 48 Israeli hostages. Yet far-left figures like U.N. official Francesca Albanese, anti-Zionist writer Peter Beinart, and Quincy Institute vice president Trita Parsi have already questioned its legitimacy. Albanese mocked Israel’s compliance, writing, “‘Ceasefire’, in Israel’s dictionary: you cease, I fire.”

Parsi told CNN the deal could become “a disaster” if Israel limits it to “just a ceasefire.” Beinart insisted, “There will never be real peace… until Palestinians are free.”

Meanwhile, Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar called for Israel to face prosecution for “war crimes,” even as hostages prepare to return home under the agreement.

Despite critics’ outrage, the Trump peace deal marks the first comprehensive ceasefire both sides have accepted since Hamas launched its Oct. 7, 2023, terror attacks that killed more than 1,200 Israelis.
