Four Found Dead in Million-Dollar San Francisco Home in Suspicious Deaths Probe

Four people were found dead Wednesday afternoon in a million-dollar San Francisco home, as police launched an investigation into the suspicious deaths.

The grim discovery came at about 1:23 p.m. on the 900 block of Monterey Boulevard, in one of the city’s more affluent neighborhoods, during a welfare check by the San Francisco Police Department. All four victims — believed to be family members living in the home — were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released their names or ages.

“This is a very rare occurrence in this neighborhood,” said Officer Robert Rueca, an SFPD spokesperson. “This area rarely sees any type of activity close to this.”

Two unnamed sources told KTVU-TV the deaths are being investigated as a possible murder-suicide, but police have so far classified them only as suspicious. The department’s homicide unit is leading the probe, while the San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the official cause and manner of death.

Neighbors described the victims as a quiet family who moved to the area about a year ago and regularly decorated their home for the holidays. “We didn’t hear anything or notice something unusual,” said Belinda, who lives next door.

Police continue combing the house and surrounding neighborhood for evidence, as the community grapples with shock over the unsettling incident.
