Gazans Urge Hamas to Accept Trump Peace Deal: ‘Enough Is Enough’

The Trump peace plan is gaining unexpected traction among Gazan civilians, who are urging Hamas to accept the former president’s proposal to disarm in exchange for an immediate ceasefire. According to the New York Times, residents in Gaza City are openly pressuring the terror group to end the war.

“Hamas must say yes to this offer—we have been through hell already,” said Mahmoud Bolbol, a father of six in Gaza City. “Hamas needs to understand: Enough is enough,” he added, accusing the group of dragging civilians into its conflict with Israel.

Unveiled Monday alongside Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump’s 20-point plan begins with Hamas surrendering its weapons and releasing all remaining hostages. In return, Israel would release Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences. Trump warned that if Hamas rejects the deal, the U.S. would give Israel its “full backing” to “finish the job of destroying the threat of Hamas.”

Interviews suggest many Gazans support the plan. “We are dying for nothing, and no one cares about us,” said Nasayem Muqat. Another resident, Abdelhalim Awad, said he would accept almost “any price” for peace but doubted Hamas would listen. “They don’t care about what people think or public opinion. If they cared about that, we wouldn’t be in this situation.”
