Georgetown University has called in the FBI after alarming flyers promoting an anti-fascist extremist group appeared across campus, glorifying violence and targeting conservative voices. The flyers urged students to “join the John Brown Club,” referencing the radical John Brown Gun Club—an organization tied to violent attacks on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities and openly supportive of political violence.
One flyer boasted the club as “the only political group that celebrates when Nazis die,” while another depicted conservative leader Charlie Kirk bleeding from his neck with the words, “FOLLOW YOUR LEADER / REST IN [EXPLETIVE] CHARLIE KIRK.” Such messages echo the rhetoric of the accused assassin who inscribed “Hey, fascist! Catch!” on one of his bullets.
University officials acted swiftly, removing the flyers and reporting them to law enforcement. “Georgetown University has no tolerance for calls for violence or threats to the university,” a spokesperson stated. “Upon discovering the new flyers, the university removed them and reported them to the FBI.”
This escalation underscores the growing danger of far-left extremism festering on college campuses. Instead of fostering debate, radicals are pushing intimidation and threats against conservative students. The so-called John Brown Gun Club has a track record of encouraging violence, with members involved in attacks on ICE facilities in Texas and Washington state.
Georgetown now faces the challenge of ensuring safety for students under the shadow of extremist propaganda. As the university vowed, “The university’s team of safety and security experts, including its police department and specialized threat assessment professionals, will continue to investigate this incident and work in partnership with law enforcement to ensure the safety of our community.”
