Blackburn Slams Media Over Russia Hoax Lies

During an appearance on Fox News Channel’s Hannity Friday night, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) condemned the media for its role in promoting the now-debunked Russia collusion narrative. She called on journalists who fueled the story to return their awards and admit they were manipulated by intelligence officials.

Host Sean Hannity opened the segment by criticizing the media for ignoring declassified intelligence that discredited the collusion claims, stating that journalists lied for “three long years.” Blackburn agreed, asserting that former intelligence leaders like John Brennan, James Clapper, and James Comey “were reeling them in like fish in a stocked pond.” She said media outlets blindly published what they were told without independent investigation.

“They should return all of their Pulitzers and their prizes and have them wear a sign that says ‘gullible,’” Blackburn said. She added that the media now avoids covering the truth because “they know people have found them out.”

Blackburn argued that the real reason Democrats rely on such narratives is because they “feel like they can only win if they cheat.” She accused the left of lacking substantive policy ideas and depending on media support to maintain political momentum. “They’re void of good ideas, but they need the media to back them up in their cheating and cover for them,” she stated.

The Tennessee senator also urged viewers to stop consuming legacy media like CNN, warning that they had misled the public for years. She emphasized that many outlets had transitioned from journalism to opinion-based advocacy.

Blackburn has been a consistent critic of the collusion investigation, which she and other Republicans view as a politically motivated effort to undermine President Donald Trump.
