Wisconsin Governor Orders State Workers to Protect Criminal Illegal Aliens

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has directed state employees to actively obstruct federal immigration enforcement and protect illegal aliens — even those wanted for violent crimes. Leaked documents obtained by conservative radio host Dan O’Donnell reveal a Department of Administration (DOA) memo from April 18 that outlines explicit instructions for workers to stonewall ICE agents.

Rather than cooperating with federal law enforcement, the memo orders employees to:

  • “Refuse to answer any questions,” even regarding individuals ICE is seeking.
  • “Deny agents access to paper files and computers,” even when a warrant is presented.
  • “Block agents from entering non-public areas,” unless they have a judicial warrant.
  • “Demand agents sit in isolated public areas” and “force them to wait indefinitely” while attorneys are contacted.
  • “Order agents to leave and return later” if no state lawyer is immediately available.

The guidance under the Wisconsin Governor makes it clear: employees are being told to “stall, obstruct, and protect illegal aliens — even if those aliens are dangerous criminals wanted by the federal government.”

Deputy Secretary Hanson acknowledged the real motive behind the memo in an email to staff, admitting it was created because Wisconsin’s liberal bureaucrats fear “inadvertently cooperating with ICE.” Hanson wrote, “While we hope it won’t be necessary to put this guidance into practice, please do your part to be prepared and have contact information for your agency Office of Legal Counsel readily available.”

This radical policy, as the article notes, is not governance — “it’s rebellion.” Governor Evers’ administration is blatantly challenging the supremacy of federal immigration law and, in doing so, “complicity aiding and abetting illegal immigration.”

The dangers of such obstruction are already clear. Judge Hannah Dugan — a liberal Milwaukee County judge — now faces federal charges for “obstructing or impeding a proceeding before a department or agency of the United States” and “concealing an individual to prevent his discovery and arrest,” after helping a violent illegal alien evade ICE.

Democrats have chosen their hill to die on — defending “the last violent, human-trafficking Central American gangbanger” no matter the cost to American safety and sovereignty.
