Illegal Immigrant Charged in Murder of Maryland Mother

A tragic murder in Maryland has once again raised serious questions about border security and immigration enforcement, after it was revealed that the primary suspect is an illegal immigrant who had previously been in ICE custody but was released.

Keycy Robinson Alexi Barrera Rosa, a 24-year-old illegal immigrant, has been charged with the murder of 23-year-old Lesbia Mileth Ramirez Guerra. Guerra was a young mother who lived in Waldorf, Maryland, with Rosa and her two children. Rosa’s uncle, 37-year-old Rolvin Eduardo Bererra Bererra, has been charged with being an accessory to the murder.

Guerra was reported missing on April 2, though she was last seen days earlier, on March 31. Her boyfriend—now the accused killer—initially claimed she had disappeared. Investigators soon found “suspicious activity” at the home, and their investigation led them to a horrifying discovery just outside of Cedarville State Forest in Prince George’s County.

Charles County Sheriff’s Office described the grim scene: “When detectives were on the scene as they were combing through the forest, they actually spotted an area and just begin digging right there and they had to dig about five feet deep before they saw the tips of a blanket and from there they realize that they had found Miss Guerrera.”

Authorities discovered Rosa had documents that appeared to be fraudulent. Upon contacting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), they confirmed Rosa was in the U.S. illegally and had been detained previously but later released—raising concerns about federal immigration policies under the current administration.

After the body was discovered, authorities issued a warrant for Rosa, who was then taken into custody again. He will be extradited to Charles County to face justice.

Notably, this case occurred in the same county where Kilmar Abrego Garcia, another illegal immigrant, had lived before being deported by the Trump administration—highlighting the difference in immigration enforcement policies then versus now.

This case underscores the dangerous consequences of weak immigration enforcement, and it raises serious questions about how a known illegal immigrant—already in ICE custody—was released back into the public, with deadly consequences.
