The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), under President Donald Trump’s leadership, has launched a whistleblower tip line aimed at exposing cases where minors are subjected to chemical and surgical gender transition procedures.
The tip line is part of Trump’s executive order, Protecting Children From Chemical and Surgical Mutilation, and invites whistleblowers to report the use of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and gender reassignment surgeries on minors. These controversial practices have increasingly come under scrutiny from conservatives, faith leaders, and medical professionals concerned about their long-term impact on children.
“HHS is committed to protecting whistleblowers to the full extent of the law,” the agency stated, emphasizing that individuals who come forward will be shielded under federal whistleblower protections.
In a related announcement, HHS revealed it is now investigating a prominent pediatric teaching hospital accused of retaliating against a nurse who refused to participate in administering gender-altering drugs to children. The nurse, who sought a religious accommodation, was allegedly terminated for her stance.
While the hospital’s name remains confidential, many believe the case centers around Vanessa Sivadge, a former nurse at Texas Children’s Hospital who recently testified before Congress about her dismissal. Sivadge, a woman of faith, objected to participating in procedures she believed violated her conscience and religious beliefs — particularly because of the sterilizing effects of the treatments on young patients.
“The Department will robustly enforce Federal laws protecting these courageous whistleblowers,” said Acting HHS Office for Civil Rights Director Anthony Archeval. “Healthcare professionals should never be forced to choose between their careers and their deeply held convictions.”
This latest effort by the Trump administration signals a clear commitment to defending parental rights, medical ethics, and religious freedom in the face of growing pressure from progressive activists pushing gender ideology in America’s hospitals and schools.
