Pregnant Woman Injured by Rock Through Tesla Windshield

A pregnant woman in Vancouver was seriously injured when a two-pound rock smashed through the windshield of a Tesla EV she was riding in, prompting an active investigation into whether the attack was intentional — and possibly politically motivated.

The incident occurred on the evening of March 30 as the Tesla traveled northbound on Nanaimo Street, near East 27th Avenue. According to Vancouver police, the rock penetrated the windshield and struck the woman — who was sitting in the passenger seat — before coming to rest on the vehicle’s floor. Thankfully, the pregnant woman is expected to recover, but authorities emphasize the terrifying close call could have easily been fatal.

“We are working to determine whether this was a criminal act, and if someone intentionally targeted this Tesla,” said Vancouver Police Sergeant Steve Addison. “This very serious incident could easily have resulted in someone’s death, but for a few inches.”

Investigators are urging anyone with information, including dashcam or surveillance footage from nearby Nanaimo Street between East 29th and East 22nd on March 30 between 8:40 and 9:00 p.m., to contact authorities.

The incident comes amid a disturbing trend of politically charged vandalism and violence directed at Tesla vehicles and facilities, fueled by the company’s connection to Elon Musk — a prominent supporter of President Donald Trump. Since January 20, Vancouver authorities have logged 28 Tesla-related incidents, including arson, property destruction, and harassment of Tesla owners.

Of those, nine incidents involved attacks on private vehicles, while the remaining 19 occurred at Musk-owned dealerships and EV charging stations.

The surge in attacks has forced local law enforcement to deploy an additional 130 officers this weekend to safeguard Tesla-related gatherings and infrastructure as part of a broader response to the so-called “Tesla Takedown” movement.

This pattern of violence against Americans — and now Canadians — who simply own or support Elon Musk’s vision of innovation and energy independence, is raising serious concerns about political intolerance and domestic radicalism in left-leaning enclaves.

If it’s confirmed that this rock attack was indeed deliberate, it won’t just be a case of criminal mischief — it will be one more wake-up call about where we’re headed as a culture when hatred for ideas becomes hatred for human life.
