Nearly 200 pieces of artwork by Hunter Biden, valued in the millions, were destroyed in the recent Los Angeles wildfires, according to a report by the New York Post. Some of the pieces were priced as high as $500,000 each and were stored near the Pacific Palisades home of Biden’s attorney, Kevin Morris. The storage site reportedly succumbed to the flames, while Morris’ mansion remains one of the few properties in the area still standing.
Kevin Morris, a Hollywood attorney closely associated with Hunter Biden, has been instrumental in managing the president’s son’s financial and legal affairs. Morris not only acquired Hunter’s 10% stake in the Chinese state-backed fund BHR Partners but also paid off his IRS debts and provided approximately $4.9 million in financial support. He is also reportedly funding a documentary on Hunter Biden. The wildfires have caused widespread destruction, but Morris’ Palisades mansion has survived so far.
President Joe Biden, speaking from a Santa Monica fire station last week, remarked on the damage caused by the fires. He mentioned that Hunter Biden’s Malibu home was initially believed to have been destroyed but later received reports that it might still be standing. “Only one piece of good news: my son lives out here, and his wife. They got a notification yesterday that their home was probably burned to the ground. Today, it appears that it’s still standing,” Biden said, emphasizing the uncertainty surrounding the situation.
Hunter Biden’s artwork, sold through the Georges Berges Gallery, has garnered attention due to its high price tags, reportedly averaging $85,000 per piece. Controversy continues to surround the president’s son, including allegations by his former landlord, venture capitalist Shaun Maguire, who claimed Hunter owed over $300,000 in unpaid rent and attempted to settle the debt with a book of art allegedly made from his own feces.
The destruction of Hunter Biden’s artwork adds another chapter to the ongoing scrutiny of his business and personal endeavors.
