Political Commentator Demands Trump’s Intervention in California

Political commentator Mike Cernovich called for President-elect Donald Trump to intervene in the state of California to reconstruct its policies to benefit its citizens.

In an appearance on The War Room with Natalie Winters, Cernovich aired his displeasure with the state’s leaders.

“I don’t want to see people like Maria Shriver showing her face, saying anything. I want to see people saying, What are you talking about? You voted for it,” he said. “They go, Well, we didn’t vote for fires. Oh, but you voted for Karen Bass instead of Caruso. You voted for people who can’t keep water in fire hydrants!”

He asserted that “this is what Democrat supermajority gets us.”

“So that’s the case that I’m making for federal takeover of California,” Cernovich declared. “I know that Trump is being a little cheeky when he talks about Canada being a 51st state, and I think the reaction that Pierre, the Apple leader, and others have is amusing.”

He explained that under the U.S. Constitution, there is a “case to be made that the federal government needs to come in to enforce the civil rights of the people to act in a reconstruction kind of manner.”

“So I want the Trump administration, and I’m a citizen I’ve been a resident in California. I want the Trump administration to exercise its constitutional power to come in and fix all the election fraud. They have this authority,” Cernovich said.

Under the 14th Amendment, the federal government has the authority to enforce the civil rights of citizens when the state deprives them from its residents, he explained.

“They have this authority under the 14th Amendment, Section 5,” the political commentator said. “They have the authority to enforce the rights, the civil rights of me, the citizen, which is being deprived by the state government of California, where people can’t trust the elections, where somehow these Orange County Republican areas all went Democrat, even though everywhere else was trending for Trump.”

“I’m not joking,” Cernovich added. “I want the federal government to come in, clean this state up, and they have the constitutional authority to do so.”

Media personality Meghan Kelly has also criticized Californian authorities, criticizing the Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley for prioritizing diversity goals over fire hydrants and other resources.

“In recent years, LA’s fire chief has made not filling the fire hydrants top priority, but diversity,” Kelly said. “Diversity is at least among the top priorities for the department.”

“Can you fight fires? Can you make sure there’s water in the fire hydrants?” she added.

The Los Angeles Times reported that by Wednesday morning, water storage tanks in the Palisades “went dry.”

L.A. City Councilmember Traci Park condemned the “chronic under-investment in the city of Los Angeles in our public infrastructure.”

“I am extremely concerned about this,” Park said. “I’m already working with my team to take a closer look at this, and I think we’ve got more questions than answers at this point.”
