In a recent MSNBC appearance, Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) shifted the blame for crime in U.S. cities away from illegal immigrants and gangs, targeting instead Trump supporters and so-called white supremacists.
Responding to former President Donald Trump’s remarks on illegal immigration and crime during his Aurora, Colorado, speech, Crockett stated, “I absolutely agree. Guess what? It’s the MAGA gang… It is the white supremacists that have decided to descend upon places such as Springfield, Ohio.”
Crockett’s comments, which vilify Trump supporters, sidestep a series of well-documented cases involving illegal immigrants and gangs involved in violent crimes across the U.S. Texas Governor Greg Abbott recently declared the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang a terrorist organization for their involvement in drug and human trafficking along the southern border.
Moreover, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reports over 420,000 illegal immigrants with criminal convictions currently reside in the country, including those responsible for murder, kidnapping, sexual assault, and drug offenses.
Despite Crockett’s claims, these alarming statistics underscore the severity of the border crisis.
