Couple Donates Wedding Food to Hurricane Helene Victims

A couple from Greensboro, North Carolina, turned their misfortune into an act of kindness when their wedding plans were canceled due to Hurricane Helene’s impact.

Jessica Beebe and Will Landacre had planned their wedding for two years, but flooding from the hurricane damaged their venue in Independence, Virginia.

Instead of dwelling on their disappointment, the couple joined cleanup efforts in the area, with Landacre helping clear trees from roadways.

Despite their hopes to salvage the day, they had to cancel their rehearsal dinner and ultimately call off the wedding on the day it was scheduled.

With food prepared and no guests to serve, Beebe and Landacre decided to donate the meals to local community members in need, setting up a food distribution area in a grocery store parking lot.

Landacre expressed gratitude for their safety, saying, “We’re very grateful that we’re safe and still going to get married.”
