A California sheriff said in testimony to Congress this week that Mexican cartel assassins are currently operating inside the United States.
Sheriff Mike Boudreaux of Tulare County, California, showed up before the House Judiciary Committee this week, where he said that his agency had recently arrested a man who confessed to being a hit man for the Sinaloa Cartel.
“He was responsible for certain areas of California and there were many other assassins assigned by cartels in California, throughout California, that were responsible for those areas,” Boudreaux said.
According to Boudreaux, his agency targeted about 50 cartel associates over the course of their investigation who were allegedly involved in the trafficking of drugs, weapons, and people across the border.
