During the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, Planned Parenthood has reportedly performed abortions on 25 individuals, framing these actions as part of their “reproductive healthcare” services.
Known for its strong stance on abortion rights, Planned Parenthood extended its services during the convention by offering free medicated abortions, vasectomies, and emergency contraception.
The initiative, led by Planned Parenthood Great Rivers of St. Louis, was set up in a mobile health clinic stationed in Chicago’s West Loop.
“We’re just really excited to provide the opportunity for the thousands of folks who are coming to Illinois to demonstrate for them that it is possible to start closing some healthcare gaps for folks,” Dr. Colleen McNicholas, chief medical officer at Planned Parenthood Great Rivers said.
The organization collaborated with the Chicago Abortion Fund and other pro-abortion groups, publicly announcing their presence and services on social media.
This move has sparked significant debate and controversy, particularly among those who view it as an aggressive extension of their abortion agenda during a highly visible event.
