Trump Receives Roaring Applause at RNC Wearing Bandage Over His Ear

Former President Donald Trump was met with a standing ovation at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Monday evening.

In his first public appearance since the attempted assassination on his life over the weekend, the former president was greeted with a roaring applause, sporting a bandage over his right ear.

Trump did not speak but entered the packed arena as musician Lee Greenwood sang “God Bless the USA.”

“We must unite as a party, and we must unite as a nation,” Republican Party Chairman Michael Whatley said during the convention. “We must show the same strength and resilience as President Trump and lead this nation to a greater future.”

Whatley stated in a Sunday interview that the convention’s schedule would not be altered in the wake of the attack.

He stated that more than 100 speakers will be featured on the agenda, most of whom will address topics that affect regular Americans and Trump’s initiatives to improve their lot in life.
