Joe Biden claimed during the June 27 debate that he received an endorsement by the Border Patrol.
“By the way, the Border Patrol endorsed me, endorsed my position,” Biden said.
The Border Patrol Union responded to Biden’s statement: “To be clear, we never have and never will endorse Biden.”
In another statement, the Border Patrol Union said, “Biden claimed this morning that Congressional Republicans have blocked his hiring of thousands of Border Patrol Agents. In reality, Republicans have actually funded more agents in recent appropriations bills in spite of Biden—not because of him.”
“We wish @realDonaldTrump luck tonight in the debate and hope he has enough time to point out all of the ways Biden’s border policies have failed.”
During a discussion of illegal immigration, Trump said about Biden, “He’s the one that killed people with the bad border.”
“We are living, right now, in a rat’s nest,” Trump added. “They’re killing our people – in New York, in California, in every state in the union – because we don’t have borders anymore. Every state is now a border.”
“People are killing our citizens, at a level that we’ve never seen before—we call it migrant crime, I call it ‘Biden migrant crime.’ They’re killing our citizens like you’ve never seen before, and you’re reading it. Like these three incredible young girls over the last few days.”
