Republican Sen. Tim Scott Endorses Trump

South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott endorsed former President Donald Trump while attending his rally Friday, ahead of the New Hampshire primary, set for January 23.

“IS THIS TRUMP COUNTRY?” Scott said to the crowd.

“That’s why I came to the very warm state of New Hampshire to endorse the next president of the United States, Donald Trump,” Scott said. “We need a president who will unite our country. We need Donald Trump.”

Trump thanked Scott, praising him as a “very good man,” and a “very respected man.”

Scott dropped his own presidential run in November and his endorsement gives Trump the backing of 26 out of the Senate’s 49 Republicans.
