Kansas Walmart Erupts in Worship

A church congregation visited a Walmart in Kansas City, Kansas, and began singing worship songs and Christmas carols.

Employees, shoppers, and police officers sang as well.

Pastor Esther Lohrke told KSHB, “After my message Sunday night I go, ‘Whoever wants to, show up to Walmart.’ My main thing was go there to bring some hope to anybody.”

“My wife just started singing,” said Pastor Kelly Lohrke, Esther’s husband. “Then church members started singing and then it was just bizarre. Workers started singing. And I’m watching tears come down people’s faces. I’m watching other people sing that I don’t know who they are.”

“We all know there’s been a lot of craziness going on in the world, and you see a lot of videos in department stores and fights and arguments and hate,” Kelly said. “Jesus is the Prince of Peace, and we wanted to bring peace there.”
