New Hampshire Man Charged With Threatening to Kill Vivek Ramaswamy

A man from Dover, New Hampshire, is now facing a federal criminal charge after threatening to kill Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy at a campaign event.

Tyler Anderson, 30, reportedly responded to Ramaswamy’s campaign text message threatening to “blow his brains out.”

“Anderson responded to the text message on 8 December 2023, stating: ‘Great, another opportunity for me to blow his brains out!’ and ‘I’m going to kill everyone who attends and then [expletive] their corpses,” the US attorney’s office for New Hampshire said.

“Unfortunately it is true. We are grateful to law enforcement for their swiftness and professionalism in handling this matter and pray for the safety of all Americans,” a spokesperson for Ramaswamy later said.

Anderson is charged with transmitting in interstate commerce a threat to injure the person of another, and if convicted can face a prison sentence of up to five years and a fine of up to $250,000.
