Middle School Students Allegedly Send Hate Mail to Moms for Liberty

Students at a Seattle, Washington Middle School allegedly sent hate mail to the parental rights group Moms for Liberty.

The messages claimed the organization was “bullying” LGBTQ youth.

The package, with a return address of SPS (Seattle Public Schools) and JSCEE (John Sanford Center for Educational Excellence), the school district’s headquarters, contained letters that appeared to be written by children.

Ann Christianson, a social studies teacher and coordinator of the Gay-Straight Alliance at Jane Addams Middle School in Seattle, included a message in the packaging.

“Dear Moms For Liberty, Please read the enclosed cards from concerned middle school students in Seattle, WA,” Christianson’s letter read.

Some of the cards in the package read, “Say Gay,” “Gay is slay, stop being a rat,” and “Stop bullying and excluding LGBTQ youth.”

Data from the state’s Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction revealed that almost half of the students failed mathematics standards.

Only 61.4% of students met English standards.
