Police have launched an investigation after a group of teens on bicycles cried out “death to Jews” to people leaving a synagogue.
The group of teenagers were also wearing ski masks and shouted slurs at the Jewish citizens.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office said the event occurred around 12:20 p.m. on Saturday, October 29.
“It was very unnerving to myself, obviously to those congregants, who were mostly seniors, and it was a cowardly act,” President of Congregation Kol Tikvah Andrew Rader told The Miami Herald. “We will find out who this was and we will pursue this.”
“Because of everything that has happened in Israel, it has made it hip or cool to be anti-Israel and anti-Jewish,” Rader added.
