Sending aid to Ukraine has caused the U.S. military to be overstretched, according to retired Brigadier General Don Bolduc.
Being overstretched then affects the White House’s ability to support other allies.
“I think it’s a wake-up call to the American people that you know during the Biden administration our military has become extremely weak. We’ve become overstretched. Logistically, we could not support really a lot of things that would go on simultaneously in this world,” Bolduc told reporters.
Bolduc said he is “very concerned” about the situation, as it is a “very serious problem for America and its national security apparatus.”
“We [Washington] can’t kid Americans about this,” he added. “We need to start telling them the truth, which we haven’t been doing in a very long time.”
Sputnik reported that America increased its military assistance to Kiev after Russia conducted its operation in Ukraine. Russia warned that NATO countries are “playing with fire” by sending aid, claiming the action prolongs the conflict between the countries.
