The U.S. House Committee On Oversight and Accountability released a detailed press statement on Monday, providing a litany of allegations against President Joe Biden, linking him to suspected influence peddling activities during his tenure as Vice President.
The report is a comprehensive pollution of Joe Biden’s alleged ties with foreign entities, primarily through his son, Hunter Biden.
The report begins with a direct quote from July 2023 in which Devon Archer, a former Biden business associate, described how Joe Biden was referred to as “The Brand” and was purportedly used to send “signals” of power, access, and influence “to enrich the Biden family from foreign sources.”
Further cementing the alleged connections, the press release cites Devon Archer’s claims that he was “aware of at least 20 times in which then-Vice President Biden spoke on speakerphone with Hunter Biden’s foreign business associates.”
Highlighting specific events, the statement mentions that in February 2014, then-Vice President Joe Biden allegedly “dined with oligarchs from Russia and Kazakhstan who funneled millions of dollars to Hunter Biden and his business associates.”
A similar event from April 2015 claims that Biden dined with “Ukrainian Burisma executive Vadym Pozharsky.”
For context, Burisma was under investigation at that time by the “Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin for corruption.”
The statement further delves into Joe Biden’s alleged ties with Chinese entities.
One notable event from 2015 alleges that then-Vice President Biden met with “Hunter Biden’s Chinese business associate, Jonathan Li of BHR, in Beijing and wrote a college letter of recommendation for his daughter.”
The Committee’s press release contains a plethora of quotes, suggesting that the Biden family had consistent interactions with foreign business associates.
For instance, in a 2017 email, James Gilliar, a family associate, supposedly indicated that Joe Biden would receive “10 percent” of profits from a deal with CEFC, a Chinese Communist Party linked energy company.
This has been further “confirmed by former Biden family associate, Tony Bobulinski.”
Another potentially damning piece of evidence is an August 3, 2017, email in which Hunter Biden reportedly mentioned that the Biden’s “are the best I know at doing exactly what the Chairman wants from this partnership[.]”
The Chairman referred to here is Ye Jianming, “a Chinese billionaire tied to a CCP-intelligence gathering agency.”
The statement also highlights the numerous times Hunter Biden’s business associates reportedly visited the White House during Joe Biden’s vice presidency, totaling “more than 80 times.”
Towards the end of the press release, a rather grave allegation is made, wherein the “FBI’s June 30, 2020 FD-1023 form contains allegations that then-Vice President Joe Biden allegedly engaged in an extortion scheme where he was paid $5 million in exchange for certain actions.”
In a final bid to shed light on the depth of the alleged schemes, the report quotes a 2019 text from Hunter Biden to his daughter, stating, “unlike Pop I won’t make you give me half your salary.”
The U.S. House Committee On Oversight and Accountability’s report suggests a dense network of influence peddling activities, closely linked with the Biden family’s dealings with foreign entities.
