Bronny James, Son of NBA Legend, Suffers Cardiac Arrest Due to Congenital Heart Defect

In a recent and shocking development, Bronny James, the promising 18-year-old basketball prodigy and son of NBA legend LeBron James, experienced a sudden cardiac arrest during a practice session.

Detailed investigations into the incident have now revealed a congenital heart defect as the likely cause of this alarming event.

The James family released a statement, which noted, “After a comprehensive initial evaluation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center led by Dr. Merije Chukumerije and follow-up evaluations at the Mayo Clinic led by Dr. Michael J. Ackerman and Atlantic Health/Morristown Medical Center led by Dr. Matthew W. Martinez, the probable cause of Mr. James’ sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) has been identified. It is an anatomically and functionally significant Congenital Heart Defect which can and will be treated.”

The family remains optimistic about Bronny’s prospects, both on the health front and his basketball career.

The statement further read, “We are very confident in Bronny’s full recovery and return to basketball in the very near future. We will continue to provide updates to media and respectfully reiterate the family’s request for privacy.”

While Bronny is committed to joining the basketball team at the University of Southern California (USC), his ultimate ambition, as shared by his father LeBron, is to play in the NBA.

Interestingly, LeBron James, who currently holds the NBA record for the most points scored, has often mentioned his desire to share the NBA court with his son before his own retirement.
