A drag queen’s album has topped the Christian chart on iTunes.
The album “Bible Belt Baby” by Flamy Grant was released last September, but reached top charts after being condemned by Sean Feucht.
Feucht took to Twitter, now called X, to condemn a collaboration between Grant and Dove Award-winning Christian artist Derek Webb.
“These are truly the last days,” Feucht wrote.
Grant then asked his fans on TikTok to stream the song “Good Day” on the “Bible Belt Baby” album.
Grant, whose name is Matthew Blake, was a worship leader for two decades.
The move was successful, resulting in the song becoming No. 2 on Christian charts on iTunes and the album reaching the top spot.
@flamygrant Sean Feucht thinks that hardly anyone is interested in a worship song by a drag queen. Good Day belongs on the #christianmusic charts, dontcha think? #worshipmusic @Derek Webb #greenscreen ♬ original sound – Flamy Grant
Reporting from The Blaze:
Grant may have had his moment atop the iTunes Christian charts, but Feucht indicated that God would have the final word on the matter. "Well good for us hardly anyone listens or cares what you do. Bad for you is that one day you’ll sit before Jesus and give an account for the perversion you tried to force on kids. There’s a verse about a millstone to warn you (Matt 18:6)," Feucht wrote on X followed by a prayer emoji.
