Video Shows Empty Dodger Stadium as Fans Protest ‘Pride Night’

A video shared on social media showed an almost empty Dodger stadium in Los Angeles as fans protest “Pride night” Friday.

The Dodgers faced criticism from conservative fans after the organization announced it would be hosting LGBTQ+ band, The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, to this years event.

After pressure from fans, the Dodgers rescinded the group’s invitation, only to invite them back with an apology a few days later.

Outside the stadium, fans protesting the band, a left-wing group known for its history of producing provocative performances and anti-Catholic messaging, blocked entrances to the L.A. venue during the game.

From Newsweek:

A clip of the empty stadium during Friday's ball game, with only a handful of fans scattered across the massive venue, was shared by conservatives on Twitter as proof that the L.A. Dodgers had alienated their fan base by going "woke."

"The 'Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence' are recognized for Pride night to a mostly empty audience," tweeted right-wing journalist Savanah Hernandez, a political commentator for Turning Point USA. "Two Dodgers fans nearby begin loudly booing after they're announced."
