List of 20 Republicans Who Voted Not to Censure Democrat Adam Schiff

Last month, U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) filed a resolution to remove Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) from Congress.

The bill would have censured, condemned, and fined Rep. Schiff (D-CA) $16 million dollars “for his egregious abuse of the trust of the American people,” according to Rep. Luna.

She maintains that Schiff had “betrayed the trust of the American people, purposely abused positions of extreme authority, lied continuously, and as such, must be held to account” for his part in the “Russia hoax investigation” against former President Donald Trump.

However, on Wednesday, the resolution failed in a 225-196-7 vote.

Twenty Republicans voted no on the bill, giving Schiff an out for his position on the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives.

Here’s a list of those 20 Republicans:

  • Kelly Armstrong (R-ND)
  • Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-OR)
  • Juan Ciscomani (R-AZ)
  • Tom Cole (R-OK)
  • Warren Davidson (R-OH)
  • Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA)
  • Kay Granger (-TX)
  • Garrett Graves (R-LA)
  • Thomas Kean (R-NJ)
  • Kevin Kiley (R-CA)
  • Young Kim (R-CA)
  • Mike Lawler (R-NY)
  • Thomas Massie (R-KY)
  • Tom McClintock (R-CA)
  • Marc Molinaro (R-NY)
  • Jay Obernolte (R-CA)
  • Mike Simpson (R-ID)
  • Michael Turner (R-OH)
  • David Valadao (R-CA)
  • Steve Womack (R-AR)

Rep. Luna took to Twitter after her bill was knocked down, writing “20 Republicans voted w/ Dems to stop the ethics investigation, censure, & fine of Adam Schiff.”

The Florida representative vowed to file a privileged motion in response.

“So there is no confusion (as some did not accurately read the bill) I will be filing a privileged motion to censure & send Schiff to ethics for investigation,” she tweeted.

“See you next week Adam.”
