Whistleblower Discloses FBI Improper Pressure, Bank Mining, Undercover Agents on Jan 6

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) whistleblower George Hill told Congress that Boston FBI agents were pressured to open criminal investigations into 140 individuals who rode a bus to the Jan 6 rally. The agents refused, saying there was no evidence the individuals engaged in criminal activity. The FBI then analyzed bank records on the suspect civilians. “Nobody asked for it,” said Hill. “It was totally voluntary.” The FBI Washington field office also refused to permit its Boston colleagues to analyze surveillance footage from Jan 6. Hill described that Washington wanted specific details of what Boston needed to review, to which Boston agents suggested, “Well, we don’t know because we can’t see the footage.” Hill said Washington then noted that “There may be identities within that footage that we need to protect.”

From Just the News:

Hill's account backs up other FBI whistleblowers, like Special Agent Steve Friend, who've alleged the FBI's Washington field office exerted undue pressure and exhibited political bias in an effort to get field offices around the country to open up as many domestic terrorism cases on Jan. 6 attendees as possible, to pad numbers or to make Trump supporters who came to Washington feel pain and shame. "The process was the punishment," Friend told Just the News.
