Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Russia is open to negotiations to end the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, despite continued attacks from Moscow.
In a recent interview with state television, Putin declared, “We are prepared to negotiate some acceptable outcomes with all the participants of this process.”
He went on to say that it is not Russia that has been rejecting talks, but rather the other parties involved in the conflict.
The Kremlin has repeatedly made this assertion in recent months as the invasion launched by Russia has shown signs of losing momentum.
In the same interview, President Putin also emphasized that Russia has “no other choice” and believes it is “acting in the right direction” in the conflict.
He explained, “We’re defending our national interests, the interests of our citizens, our people.”
