FBI Admits ‘Longstanding’ Influence Campaign Into ‘Numerous Companies Over Multiple Sectors and Industries’

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued a statement to Fox News on Wednesday in response to Twitter CEO Elon Musk’s release of the “TWITTER FILES,” which showed how the FBI paid the social media company millions of dollars while actively censoring information regarding the Hunter Biden laptop story, censorship of conservatives on the platform, and even how Twitter “aided” the Pentagon’s psychological operations against the public.

In the Wednesday statement, the FBI admitted it did in fact communicate with Twitter, referring to their correspondence with “numerous companies” involving “multiple sectors and industries” as “longstanding and ongoing”: “The correspondence between the FBI and Twitter show nothing more than examples of our tradition, longstanding and ongoing federal government and private sector engagements, which involve numerous companies over multiple sectors and industries,” the announcement read.

The agency’s statement went on to belittle those critical of the FBI in light of the TWITTER FILES, calling them “conspiracy theorists”: “It is unfortunate that conspiracy theorists and others are feeding the American public misinformation with the sole purpose of attempting to discredit the agency,” stated the memo.
