- When asked to speak to the Arizona election results, which the former president has asserted were corrupt, Trump said that “The ballots may correspond, but look at the ballots themselves. The number of ballots doesn’t mean anything. It’s who signed the ballots—where did the ballots come from?”
- When asked why other Republicans accepted the Arizona results, Trump responded by saying, “Because they’re RINOs, and frankly, a lot of people are questioning that,” going on to point out that “some of those same people” in Congress seemed particularly negligent, despite sharing his party.

- Trump has consistently contested the 2020 presidential election results, even going so far as to leave Washington D.C. without attending his successor’s inauguration in protest.
- The former president has continued his habit of leaving situations where he sees no positive outcome, taking the same route with his NPR interview where Inskeep claimed Trump hung up on him before the interviewer was done.
- Trump bolstered his claims that the election results were a sham with the particularly small crowds that the current president has been able to attract to events, saying, “How come when he went to speak in different locations, nobody came to watch, but all of a sudden he got 80 million votes?
