83-Year-Old Woman Stabbed to Death By Palestinian Terrorist in Israel

An 83-year-old woman was brutally stabbed to death by a Palestinian terrorist outside her nursing home in Herzliya, Israel, on Friday. Police identified the victim as Ludmila Lipovsky, a long-time resident of the town. The attack occurred in De Shalit Square, a public area in the coastal city near Tel Aviv.

Lipovsky had left her assisted living facility and was waiting for her daughter to take her to a doctor’s appointment when the assailant attacked her. According to witnesses, the attacker stabbed her multiple times. Despite efforts by first responders, who provided emergency treatment and rushed her to the hospital, Lipovsky succumbed to her injuries.

The attacker, identified as 28-year-old Ibrahim Shalhoub from the West Bank city of Tulkarem, was reportedly a former informant for Israel’s Shin Bet security agency. His cover had been compromised, leading to his relocation to Israel, according to Israeli security officials. Authorities detained Shalhoub shortly after the attack.

Witnesses described the horrific scene, with one staff member from the nursing home recounting hearing Lipovsky’s screams and finding her on the ground. The staffer told local media that Lipovsky had been stabbed “five or six times.”

The murder has sparked widespread outrage and renewed concerns over the ongoing threat of terrorism in Israel. Israeli officials condemned the attack, and law enforcement has launched a thorough investigation into the incident.
