Beverly, Massachusetts, has claimed the top spot on Realtor.com’s “2025 Hottest Zips” report, earning attention for what the site calls a “compelling mix of lifestyle appeal, relative affordability, and strong ties to nearby economic hubs.” The Boston suburb, about 30 minutes northeast of the city, saw home listings attract 4.6 times more views than the national average, with a median of just 16 days on the market and a median price of $746,000.
“In a year when affordability challenges and limited inventory continue to weigh on buyers, the ZIP Codes rising to the top of our list stand out for offering both strong value and livability,” said Danielle Hale, chief economist at Realtor.com.
The top 10 list is dominated by the Northeast and Midwest, driven largely by buyers escaping high-cost metro areas while staying close to jobs and amenities. The top five include:
- Beverly, MA – 01915
- Malton, NJ – 08053
- Leominster, MA – 01453
- Ballwin, MO – 63021
- Wayne, NJ – 07470
In Beverly and several other top-ranked ZIP codes, local buyers outnumbered out-of-area interest, showing strong homegrown demand. Across the top 10, the average buyer earns $114,000 annually, has a credit score of 759, and puts down between $42,000 and $143,000.
“I am thrilled that Beverly MA has been named the #1 hottest ZIP code in America by Realtor.com,” said Adeline Matton, president of the 2025 North Shore REALTORS. “Beverly residents have access to scenic coastline, local beaches, public parks and green space, along with a thriving arts community and dining scene.”
