The search for Nancy Guthrie has stretched past a month, and the $1M reward in her disappearance remains untouched. As investigators intensify efforts in Arizona, her family continues to plead for prayer and answers.
Savannah Guthrie was seen Monday morning outside her mother’s home in the Catalina Foothills, viewing flowers left by supporters. Video captured her and family members placing yellow flowers at the growing memorial. In a social media post, she wrote, “we feel the love and prayers from our neighbors, from the Tucson community and from around the country. please don’t stop praying and hoping with us. bring her home.”
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI have shifted resources as the case enters its fifth week. A spokesman said, “This remains an active investigation and will continue until Nancy Guthrie is located or all leads have been exhausted.” Authorities are reviewing thousands of tips, hours of video, and DNA evidence. A suspect seen on Nancy’s Nest doorbell camera carried an Ozark Trail backpack, though additional identifying details have not been disclosed.
Investigators are also analyzing Ring camera footage from a back road about 2.5 miles from the home. One vehicle passed at 2:36 a.m. on Feb. 1, minutes after Guthrie’s pacemaker last synced with her phone. Retired search commander Bob Krygier said, “I think this is the best lead probably since day one,” though he cautioned, “If I had to guess, I would say it’s probably not related.”
Retired NYPD detective Pat Brosnan believes the vehicle resembles a Kia Soul. Despite the mounting reward, no arrests have been made.
