16 Michigan Reps Send Letter to Pfizer Demanding ‘Accountability and Transparency’

Michigan State Representative Brad Paquette sent a letter to Pfizer Inc. CEO Albert Bourla asking the pharmaceutical company to verify claims made by Pfizer executive Dr. Jordan Walker regarding “directed evolution” of the coronavirus in a recently released undercover Project Veritas video.

Fifteen other Michigan state representatives joined Rep. Paquette in signing the letter.

“Project Veritas released a video on January 25, 2023, claiming that a person identified as Jordan
Walker is Pfizer’s Director of Research and Development,” the letter begins. “In the video, Mr. Walker is seen casually discussing how the COVID-19 virus could be manipulated through ‘directed evolution,’ so that Pfizer could preemptively create an effective vaccine for a mutated virus.”

Rep. Paquette’s letter noted the “substantial risk to public health” that Dr. Walker’s claims implied and the corrupt relationship between Pfizer and the U.S. government.

“Mr. Walker described exploratory research which would admittedly pose a substantial risk to public health and mentioned how the pandemic had benefited Pfizer financially,” the letter continues. “He further explained that regulators will look the other way as many government officials may want to work for Pfizer and do not want to compromise a future job opportunity.”

Paquette goes on to remind Bourla that Pfizer is a “leader in global public health” and
with American taxpayer dollars developed the COVID-19 vaccine” before stating that the company’s “accountability and transparency with the public are crucial regarding the substance and intent of its research.”

“I urge you to inform the public regarding the legitimacy of the claims in the video. Pfizer must hold itself accountable to restore trust in the integrity of the company and its employees,” the Michigan representatives write.

The letter ends: “Thank you for your attention to this important matter. I look forward to your timely response.”
