Forrie J. Smith, star in the hit show “Yellowstone” has opted out of attending the Screen Actors Guild awards over its vaccine requirements.

- Forrie J. Smith, also known as “Lloyd Pierce” on Paramount’s ‘Yellowstone,’ said in a since-deleted Instagram post that he will not be attending over vaccine requirements, Fox News reported.
- “I want to apologize to y’all for not being at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. I mean no offense to anyone,” Smith said.
- “It’s a requirement to be vaccinated. I’m not vaccinated. I will not get vaccinated.”
YELLOWSTONE STAR ON HIS STANCE ON ALL VACCINES:
“I haven’t been vaccinated since I was a little kid. I don’t vaccinate my dogs, I don’t vaccinate my horses. I’ve never had a flu shot. Never will. I believe they compromise your immunities.”
BACKGROUND:
- The SAG Awards, airing on live television Sunday, Feb. 27, has required all attendees to be vaccinated, with a booster and a negative COVID test 48 hours prior to the show.
- Those attending will also be required to wear a mask at all times.
- The cast of “Yellowstone” has been nominated for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series on Jan. 12.
- “Thank you all, you all enjoy watching the show anyway, and maybe next year,” Smith said.
