Another whistleblower has approached Sen. Josh Hawley’s (R-MO) office with information relating to the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
Hawley told Acting U.S. Secret Service (USSS) Director Ronald Rowe that the whistleblower alleged Rowe “personally directed significant cuts to the Secret Service Counter Surveillance Division (CSD).”
According to the whistleblower, Rowe reduced the CSD’s manpower by “twenty percent.”
“You did not mention this in your Senate testimony when asked directly to explain manpower reductions,” Hawley wrote.
“The whistleblower also alleges retaliation against those within the Secret Service who expressed concern about the security at President Trump’s events,” the senator continued.
Hawley demanded that Rowe provide information relating to policy and personnel changes within the CSD, the nature of his “involvement in revising, updating, or otherwise changing” policies, and the number of agents who expressed alarm about security practices “and are currently facing disciplinary action.”
Numerous whistleblowers have come forward to share insights relating to the attempt on Trump’s life.
One whistleblower claimed the Secret Service turned down an offer from local law enforcement to use drones during Trump’s July 13 rally.
Other whistleblowers have said the “majority of DHS officials were not in fact USSS agents but instead drawn from the department’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI),” Hawley shared in a recent letter to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
